The Bible suggests we are to be willing to EXAMINE OURSELVES to see whether we are "in the faith" (II Cor. 13:5) Where do you stand? If you are honest, such a checkup will be welcomed.

A recent Barna survey suggests that a large majority of those who call themselves Christians do not believe the basic teachings of the Bible. To be a Christian is to be a "believer" in Christ and his (Biblical) message. The Biblical term for one who is a Christian in name only is "Hypocrite"...and God hates them. What are those basics? Historically all Christians have subscribed to the following minimum beliefs: So....

Question 1: Do you believe the Bible basics? If not, you are not a Christian.

Christ was Immanuel (God with us), human(son of man), yet born of a virgin

Christ died for the forgiveness of our sins, was buried, and rose again the 3rd day

Christ ascended to heaven and lives there now and will return for his followers someday

There are real angels and demons, including Satan, and a real heaven and hell

Unbelievers will someday be judged by God and Christ, and punished

The Bible is the Word of God and is trustworthy to teach and guide us

Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ and his sacrifice alone.

If you do not believe all of these things, why would you call yourself a Christian? If you feel these items are somehow not in agreement with the Bible.... talk to us! We feel they are and can give you scriptural documentation.

Question 2: Are you a follower in name or "game"? Do you walk the talk? If you were accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to "convict" you? Jesus said, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN." Matt. 7...

John 10:28 says that Christ's sheep hear his voice and OBEY him. This is not a reference to sinless perfection, but to a heart desire to at least TRY to follow and obey. I John 1 makes clear that anyone who says they do not sin is a liar. But the question is... where is your HEART? What is your GOAL and DESIRE?

I have got to warn you... if your whole 'Christian' life is a LIE... the Bible says "all LIARS shall have their part in the lake of fire which burneth with fire and brimstone." Rev. 21:8

Question #3. What difference would it make in your life if you knew Christ would be returning in (say) 3 years? At the risk of later embarrassment, I believe He probably WILL return in the next 1-7 years. Check the article, "Signs: Christ is Coming Soon. My constant prayer is that I may redeem the time until He comes. (If I'm wrong, I'll take my licks in 2016)

Question #4. Is your main goal Jesus Christ's main goal? He came to seek and save the lost. If I gave you a simple, easy, no-pain way to witness, would you be willing to do it? If the answer is yes, E-mail me for details.
